What kind of education is usually needed if I want to help out in the music industry?

i’m getting my undergraduate degrees next year in two completely unrelated fields (psychology and economics). i’d like to do something along the lines of music editing. would i have to start all over again and get a different undergraduate degree? or is it likely for me to get into a master’s program (i know, a lot are very difficult to get into)?

If you want to get involve in the actual creation of music such as the “electronic” aspects you will need a degree in Audio Engineering
